FINALLY- the update. We started with the '29 Ford Tudor sedan you see
above, and went a completely different direction. We stripped Danny's
Lincoln of its 460/C6/9" with discs, chopped and massaged the sedan body
and frame and ended up with the creation you see below:
THE DONOR: Danny's '75 luxo-barge Lincoln Mark IV, hittin' the switches.
This car was the Busch Bros' first radical project... but now she's out to
pasture. We kept the drivetrain, but the rest had to be scrapped due to the
immensely low resale value :-( Consider it a Phoenix rising from the ashes........
<< And of COURSE it does burnouts!
And, it'll kick down 17MPG on the freeway :-)
next upgrade is a tossup between a Detroit
locker for traction, or aluminum heads and
intake to save front end weight. In any case,
it's a REAL beast!
We were originally going with a shorty hardtop sedan/coupe type creation but it just didn't look right, so we
created an "A-Bucket"- cut down the tub into a two-seater and made a bed for it. It's like a T-Bucket but with
a lot more room!
We've been so busy on this the site and all other projects have been kind of neglected, but we are finally
winding down for the year and have time for an update. It's been done a month now and we already have
over 4000 miles on it- we drove it to Bonneville for speed week, then up to Seattle, then Billetproof. This
thing is a real driver!
Here's a shot of the chassis, showing the
fabbed Z'd rear section, massive 2x4
X-member, and beefy motor mounts we
fabbed to handle the 460/C6 combo. The
chassis is quite stiff >>

Yes- that logo is
embossed in the
sheet metal!
Danny made a
steel die shaped
like our logo, and a
mirror image die
that went over it
and we simply
pressed the
tailgate in a
hydraulic press.
The interior is a
combination of
aluminum racing
seats cut down
like old bomber
seats, woven
Indian blankets,
aluminum sheet,
and the gauge
cluster framed by
the old Lincoln
opera window trim.
